Drain main cleaning is the mechanical-cable method for clearing a residential 4" or 6" sewer main of a single-event stoppage. We run a K-7500 cable machine — up to 200 ft of cable — and select cutter heads based on the obstruction type.
This is the right service when your line backs up once and you want flow restored. If your line backs up repeatedly (three or more times in 18 months), you do not need a snake — you need a hydro-jet or a replacement. We will tell you that on the diagnostic call.

When you need hydro-jet instead
If the camera shows root intrusion at multiple joints, heavy scale, or chronic recurrence, the right next step is a hydro-jet — not another snake. We will tell you that and quote it. The mechanical cable bores a hole through the obstruction; the hydro-jet removes the obstruction from the pipe walls entirely.
